We hope our vacation rental home will be comfortable for many wheelchair-users and slow walkers. On this page we describe and picture what we’ve learned is most important from hosting families at our wheelchair accessible cabins in the Smokies.
Contact us if you have specific questions or concerns not covered. We’ll do our best to answer or find out.
The front entrance is zero step. We offer a 2′ portable ramp to navigate the 3.5″ step out the french doors to the lanai. Please be sure to request it when you make a reservation.
The living/dining room furniture is easily shifted as needed. The 1st-floor master bedroom suite has doorways with 32″ clear passage space and a 28″ high open-frame king bed.
The 1st-floor master bathroom has a roll-in shower with a handheld showerhead, pedestal sink, and grab bars. The shower is 35″ wide and 51″ deep.
Please request the shower seat when you make your reservation if needed.
The kitchen itself has full-size appliances but the side-by-side fridge is positioned such that it is inaccessible. With only 36″ access between the counters, the cooking will be best left to others — or visit the fine restaurants over at the hotel and down Sunset Walk.
Remember to request the portable ramp for the back door and the shower stool (if needed) before you arrive from our property manager Vstays by Ace Hospitality.
Relax and enjoy family time. Your reservation includes the daily resort fee for access to the pools and games at the Fins Up Beach Club.
